Merry Christmas!

Just came across a very beautiful quote by Roy L. Smith - "He who has not Christmas in his heart, will never find it under a tree". So true!

Christmas to me, has always been happiness. The mere thought of Christmas being around makes me feel happy. It makes me think of beautiful bells, colors (mostly red, white and green), candles, gifts, Santa Claus and lots of smiles.

But just this year, I came to know about the spirit of Christmas. The real spirit of Christmas is in giving and sharing.

This Christmas, let's give and share happiness. Let's spread smiles all over.

Merry Christmas!!!
(Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way ... !!!)

10 lessons from Life

Last few days have been very challenging and helpless for me. I am in Coimbatore right now and will be leaving for Bangalore in few hours from now. I was here to attend a family wedding from the guy's side. This wedding was under discussion since last one and a half years. As it was a love marriage, it involved the usual persuasions and struggle that normally every Indian couple has to face. Every discussion has many point of views which (might) eventually leads to argument. This wedding discussion too became an argument and later turned into a fight.

Understanding, Maturity and Co-operation are must for any relationship. Offcourse, this should be from both the sides. One of them being kind, co-operative, matured and understanding will not be able to hold the relationship for a long time. All these key things were missing in the bride. To add on to this the bride was adamant, stubborn and had no respect for elders. The guy was so madly in love with the girl that he was not able to support what was right and was arguing unnecessarily with his parents. Still, it is difficult for me to believe my own eyes and ears for what I have seen and heard.

I don't know why I am writing this, but this wedding surely has taught me following important lessons in my life -
  1. A Girl has the ability to break or make a happy family.
  2. Love can (sometimes) make people deaf, dumb and blind (all at the same time).
  3. Every parent, somehow, has lots of patience when it comes to their children. They can keep trying to save their children from getting hurt in life.
  4. Parents can never stop thinking about your well being even if you have hurt them
  5. Never, ever hurt anybody, especially your parents. It definitely comes back to you in the same life in some or other form of sadness and leaves you helpless.
  6. It requires a lot of strength for a mother (father as well) to stay away from her so loved child. If she herself decides to stay away from her child that means she has been hurt a lot more than what she can tolerate.
  7. It is very difficult for your siblings to see you disrespecting your parents.
  8. Any happiness without family members or near ones seems meaningless.
  9. Don't raise your voice, improve your argument.
  10. There are somethings money can't buy, which I have already mentioned in my this blog, for everything else, there's Master Card :D
I have understood a lot about life and got most of my questions answered by this one incident. There surely is somebody called God who teaches you everything but in his own way.

Well, I am now thinking about one of  my friend who will not agree on the last statement I made, hope it gets a smile on his face when he reads this. :)

Happy Reading !

Being Human!

We are Human Beings, scientifically known as Homo-Sapiens. But I guess most of us have forgotten the meaning of Being Human. The inhuman behavior that we hear these days, have shocked the entire human race.

One can see some glimpses of humanity these days in case he/she is lucky. Once I noticed people stuck in traffic jam (common these days) making way for an ambulance to go. I was really moved by such gesture of those people and I said proudly to myself - “After all, we still are Human Beings”. But when I posted this in one of the social websites, one of my friends who mostly is a part of such traffic jams commented I was lucky enough to witness something of that sort, as people rarely do something like that.

The recent Delhi-gang Rape case has proved to a major extent the lack of humanity in human beings these days. I trembled with pain and anger, both at the same time when I read about the incident. I am not sure if it was my right to do so, but I prayed to God to put an end to the girls suffering. The sufferings came to an end for the girl on 29th December, but what a loss to her family. No punishment in the world would be enough to get her back.

Our world did not come to an end as it was predicted, but 16th of December 2012, marked the end of HUMANITY!

I feel very sad as I type this, but still somewhere deep in my heart I visualize the World as a safe place to live in and hope for a better tomorrow.

Has Life Changed?

New Year and New Life! It is going good, in fact great! I am happily married now. But has life changed?

Life is Beautiful! It shows you all beautiful colors. The changes that I feel after getting married is all positive. Like I am being loved a hundred times more than what I was used to and it keeps increasing each single day. I am so madly and deeply in love with this person that I believe he is the person God choose for me. This great feeling of being married does not seem to come to end ever.

Life, at times shows few bad colors as well, but that does not mean we forget the good times. I don’t see much of a negative change other than one which is my friend circle. It has reduced to a large extent. That off-course is not only because I got married, but they(my friends) got married too. All busy with their married life. I have stopped talking to my friends except few who really put an effort to be in touch. They call me, message me and I call them back, reply them. The question is what about others? Why are they not around? Some of them were with me in my real bad times and now when I am happy and want to share the happiness with them why aren't they around to smile with me?

No answers! All I could think of is the phrase – “People come to your life for a reason, a season or for a lifetime.” So may be their part in my life is over and when they have a reason or it’s the perfect season they would be back. I am not losing hope.

Cheers to Life! J
